The Specials: We're teens inside

The Specials' Terry Hall and John Bradbury still feel like teenagers.

The Too Much Too Young stars are now in their 50s, but after reuniting to play one of Roger Daltrey's Teenage Cancer Trust gigs at the Albert Hall this week they told Absolute Radio's Hometime host Geoff Lloyd they may not have aged well but they still feel young.

Terry said: "It's sort of more than how we look, it's sort of what's inside really - it still feels like we're sort of late teens inside, a bit."

He added: "I think that's because a few of us have been through the mill really in the last 20 years and stuff's happened, and you go through illness and divorce and loads of things and you come out and you think 'Wow, I can still sing'."

The ska musician also admitted he had struggled to remember some of the band's hits after all these years.

Terry confessed: "There were some songs that I remembered really inside-out, and then some I just needed prompting really, because I hadn't even thought about them for 20 odd years. No, it was pretty much just sort of like getting a lyric sheet and just going through it all, and I wasn't nervous, it felt okay, it felt like it was the starting point of something I think."
