The Killers to come back 'swinging'
Brandon Flowers has assured Killers fans the band will "come back swinging".
The 28-year-old, who announced he would be going solo on April 28, said the indefinite hiatus could actually benefit the US rock band.
"I see this as something that will only make The Killers stronger and I hope that makes us better too - we need some time to figure out who we are, but once we do, we're gonna come back swinging," he told the NME.
"I want the next Killers album to be a wonderful collaboration between four guys who are ready to make the best record that they possibly can. And I think doing this is actually a great step towards making that happen."
Brandon, who releases his debut solo album Flamington in the autumn, isn't clear about how long the break will be for The Killers but said it will be a "good long break".
"From talking to the guys in the band, it was clear that there was going to have to be a long break between records," he added.
