Stephen King narrates concept album
Stephen King is voicing the part of a character on a new concept album.
The best-selling author plays Will O' The Wisp, a radio talk-show host, in Shooter Jennings' upcoming concept album Black Ribbons.
The radio talk-show host is being phased out because of government censorship and spends his last hour on air delivering a diatribe about the decline of the US and playing the music of an important band -- which happens to be Shooter's new band, Hierophant.
Shooter approached King, who he knew was a fan of his music, believing he would be the perfect narrator for his musical tale.
Black Ribbons, due out March 2, is the musician's first CD in two years.
Shooter, the son of country legend Waylon Jennings, made country and hard rock music and his new album blends both genres with his new band.
