Stalker swims to Taylor Swift home
Taylor Swift has suffered another stalker scare, as a man was arrested after swimming a mile through icy waters to reach her home.
Police arrested a 22-year-old man getting out of the water on a private road just after 2 o'clock in the morning near the singer's Rhode Island home.
The Chicago man reportedly told officers he had tried to see Taylor, 23, but was scared off by her security team.
He was charged with trespassing but police said there was no evidence he had ever made it onto Taylor's property.
Taylor - who bought the eight-bedroom mansion last month for around £13.8 million - is currently on tour and it is not known if she was at home at the time.
A spokesman for Westerly Police Department said they had met the star's security to discuss the incident and added: "There is a zero tolerance for trespassers."
It is not the first time a fan has tried to get close to the star.
In December, a 24-year-old man was arrested at Taylor's Nashville home after climbing over a fence, and claimed to be her boyfriend.
Taylor said previously: "I get nervous over stalker incidents. Sometimes you get a dude who kind of wants to steal you. I'm so grateful I have people looking after me."
