THE Spice Girls have axed plans for a re-union tour in 2014 after Victoria Beckham failed to agree to the shows.

The four other members held a conference call yesterday to discuss whether to continue with the project as a four piece.

However it was decided by the group that all five must be present in order for the reunion to work – and they recognised Beckham is a major draw for fans.

It is also believed Beckham’s inclusion on their last reunion tour kept costs lower – they secured more sponsorship and free costume designs from Victoria’s fashion contacts

It is also believed the girls feared to tour could flop without all five causing major embarrassment, according to The Mirror.

The girls last performed together at the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

It’s the second blow to the girl group in a week – it was announced last week their musical ‘Viva Forever’ had been axed from the West End.
