Selena Gomez to host 2011 MTV EMAs
Seelna Gomez has been announced as the host of this years MTV Europe Music Awards in Belfast.
The 19-year-old singer and actress - who is set to compete for the new "biggest fans" award against her boyfriend, teen heartthrob Justin Bieber - will present the show, broadcast live on MTV on Sunday at 9pm on November 6th from Belfast's Odyssey Arena.
Selena said: "I'm so excited to be the host of the 2011 MTV EMAs - it's a dream come true!"
"This is such a huge event that always recognises the biggest stars in music from across the globe, so it's a real honour to be MC at this year's show."
The former Disney star will not just be presenting the award on stage as they are broadcast on TV, but will also be hosting the EMAs on Twitter and online at mtvema.com.
Lady Gaga has the most nominations with six - including best live act and best song and best video for Born This Way.
Adele, Katy Perry and Bruno Mars both got four nominations, while Justin Bieber is named in three categories.
