SARAH Harding has claimed Girls Aloud’s recent reunion tour was a ‘suffocating’ experience – and also added she had no idea Nadine Coyle was against the band’s split.

The band, formed a decade ago on Pop Stars: The Rivals, recently split after their reunion tour.

Harding told ‘Look’ magazine: “We've just had eight weeks of being together non-stop, so it's nice to have a break. It's like being sisters – after a while you feel a little bit suffocated.”

She also opened up about Nadine Coyle’s tweet saying she had no part in the split and that she “couldn’t stop” her other bandmates.

“At no point did she try and stop us, so you'd have to ask her why she did that. I have to respect her decision," she said.

She added that Coyle “hugged it out” with the rest of the group after their last show.

“Of course it worries me there are reports of fallouts between us, because it's upsetting to our fans. I'd hate to think we'd end on a bad note”, she said.
