Robbie Williams to play Aviva Stadium in June

ROBBIE Williams will play Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on June 14th, it has been confirmed this morning.

The singer had announced several arena tour dates for the UK late last year as part of his 'Take the crown' tour – however a date in Ireland was noticeably absent.

The star last visited Ireland in September when he played two charity gigs in Dublin’s O2, after he promised fans he would return after technical faults marred his previous appearance in 2006.

Williams appeared at the Brits last night and performed his hit ‘Candy’, which lost out to Adele’s ‘Skyfall’ as best single.

He will be supported at the show by Xtra Factor presenter Olly Murs.

Tickets go on sale for the gig go on sale next Thursday, February 28th.
