Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow's reunion duet has failed to make it to the top of the charts, according to the Official Charts Company.
The Take That stars teamed up for the first time in years to release the single Shame but the track was pipped to number one by fellow new entry Forget You by Cee Lo Green.
Sales figures released last week suggested that Cee Lo, who has previously been to number one as part of Gnarls Barkley, would win the race.
Cee Lo's single originally featured an expletive in the title - and peppered throughout the lyrics - but the four-letter word was substituted with the word "forget" ahead of its single release.
Robbie and Gary joined forces after years of acrimony to record their track, which is taken from a forthcoming greatest hits album for Robbie, In And Out Of Consciousness.
As solo performers and members of Take That, the pair have notched up 19 number one singles between them.
Robbie has rejoined Take That with an album, Progress, due for release next month - their first new recording as a group since he quit the line-up in 1995.
The top 10 features two other new entries - Miami 2 Ibiza by Swedish House Mafia vs Tinie and Radioactive by Kings of Leon.
Last week's number one by Tinie Tempah - Written In The Stars - dropped back to number three. But the British rapper was able to celebrate the fact his album - Disc-overy - went straight into the album chart at number one.
