SINGER LeAnn Rimes was pictured in Copper Face Jacks on a night out just 24 hours before cancelling her Vicar Street concert, citing illness.

On Thursday afternoon, Rimes tweeted that she had to go to hospital in Dublin to get treatment for a painful sore throat. She tweeted: "Never thought I'd see the ER in Dublin. I have coughed myself into pain. The spasm is intense. Being human sucks sometimes."

Aiken Promotion later apologised to fans after the gig was cancelled.

Copper Face Jacks manager Aidan McCormack tweeted a photo of the singer in the club on Wednesday night.

"LeAnn rimes popped into Coppers tonite couldn't get her up on the bar counter!" – a reference to her dancing on a bar counter in the 2000 film, 'Coyote Ugly'.

Mr McCormack refused to comment yesterday and the picture was later deleted from his Twitter account.
