Lionel Richie has been announced as the first act to perform at the Henley Festival.
The Truly crooner will make his debut at the event on the Floating Stage on July 9.
"I'm looking forward to playing at Henley Festival as I don't think I've ever played on a Floating Stage on the River Thames before!" he said. "There's been some great acts perform over the years at Henley so I'm very excited for it to be my turn."
The festival's CEO Charlotte Geeves added: "We have an incredible line up for this years festival and I am thrilled we are able to announce pop and soul icon Lionel Richie will be joining us at what will be the best festival we've had yet!"
Jazz singer Gregory Porter, award-winning trumpet soloist Alison Balsom and Chinese pianist Ji Lu will join the Philharmonia Orchestra to perform a selection of George Gershwin songs, including Rhapsody In Blue, A Foggy Day In London Town, Fascinating Rhythm and I Got Rhythm for the Gershwin Spectacular on July 10.
The Henley festival, in partnership with BMW, will return to the banks of the River Thames from July 8 to 12. Tickets will go on sale from 9am on January 26 from www.henley-festival.co.uk.
