Radio 1 is replacing its traditional Sunday chart run-down with a new show dedicated to number one tracks and predicting future hits.
The top 40 is moving after the music industry agreed to make Friday the global release date for new albums and singles and t he last Sunday chart show is on July 5 with the first Friday chart five days later.
The new Sunday afternoon show will be hosted by 19-year-old Cel Spellman and will fill the old charts slot between 4pm and 7pm.
Its first two hours will be dedicated to new music with the final 60 minutes featuring a recap of Friday's top 10 and the tracks topping charts including the most streamed song and most watched video.
Spellman, who made his Radio 1 debut two years, is also a regular on CBBC and has acted in shows including Waterloo Road.
He said: " Having grown up listening to the likes of Chris Moyles and the legendary Zane Lowe, joining the Radio 1 family is both a privilege and an honour. The best station on national radio has been responsible for introducing me to so much incredible and varied music over the years, I just hope I can return the favour and help make those car journeys a little more memorable for the listeners with a mix of fun, top tunes and a little bit of cheeky chat."
