Preparing a Blizzard over in London

Whatever happened to the most handsome man in Irish rock?

This week The Diary tracked down former Blizzards front man Niall Breslin in London.

Since January he has been in the Big Smoke cooking up tunes for the future pop stars of Simon Fuller's 19 Entertainment.

But having split up with jewellery designer Eva Maguire, the 27-year-old is only interested in working in the studio.

"Girlfriends aren't my highest priority right now. Since I came to London I have been keeping my head down. I'm trying to be professional and concentrating on what I'm supposed to be doing here," Niall said.

Admitting he misses playing live with his Mullingar mates, the writer/ producer told me he will continue his quest.

"All you need is one hit to open the doors over here. I don't doubt it will happen but I have to be patient," he told me.

'Bressie', as he's known, tells me he has enough songs for a new Blizzards record and his own solo long player.
