IRISH One Direction member Niall Horan and teen superstar Justin Bieber have begun a fledgling friendship through social networking website Twitter.

Justin (18), who is currently on a major promotional tour of Australia and New Zealand, took some time from his busy schedule to send a message to the Mullingar native: “what’s up bro.” He tweeted Niall.

Niall, a huge Justin Bieber fan before he joined the teen super group, appeared unfazed by the tweet, replying in typical Irish style: “ari dude! Nothin much! How was australia dude? Great spot down there!” he said.

Bieber responded that he found his experience in Australia to be “amazing”, before going on to say “now headed to NZ, where u headed next?”

Niall informed Justin that he and his fellow One Direction members are currently in London. The band are recording their follow up album to their world wide smash debut ‘up all night’.

It is rumoured that a potential collaboration between One Direction and Bieber could be on the cards for the band’s new album, with Bieber having previously said he would be happy to record a song with the boys if asked.
