X Factor winner Ben Haenow may be celebrating landing the Christmas number 1 in the UK with his single, 'Something I Need' but he has been beaten to the top spot in the Irish charts.

Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' infectiously upbeat 'Uptown Funk' which gave Fleur East a much-needed boost when she performed the song prior to its release on the ITV show, has landed the number 1 spot in Ireland for Christmas.

Haenow is number 2 whilst it's no surprise that Ed Sheeran is number 3 with his latest single, 'Thinking Out Loud'.

It's good news for charity singles this year.  Band Aid 30's 'Do They Know It's Christmas' is at number 4 whilst the High Hopes Choir has entered the chart at number five with 'High Hopes'.

Sile Seoige will also be delighted with her achievement in reaching number 6 in the Christmas chart with her single, 'Maybe This Christmas' which was recorded in aid of ISPCC's Childline and the Make a Wish Foundation Ireland.

Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding are at number 7 for 'Outside' followed by Meghan Trainor at 8 with 'All About that Bass' and Hozier at 9 with 'Take Me To Church'.

Finally, at number 10 is seasonal favourite, 'Fairytale of New York' by Shane McGowan and the late Kirsty McColl.
