White (album) Christmas: The Beatles will arrive on all streaming platforms on Christmas Eve
Fans of The Beatles are about to receive the ultimate Christmas present as the Liverpudlian band will arrive on all streaming platforms on Christmas Eve.
What is more, their back catalogue will be available everywhere - Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play, TIDAL, Amazon Prime Music - for free.
So, even if you're signed up to Spotify for free you can access their work in full.
The Beatles is the best-selling band of all time, having sold 600 million albums and has boycotted streaming for years.
The turnaround is thought to have happened in January when former Universal Music Group digital exec Rob Wells reopened discussions.
Maybe they were influenced by similar turnarounds by Led Zeppelin and AC/DC earlier this year.
The digital downloads industry is on the decline - music streaming services have begun to surpass downloads in terms of revenue.
However, artists like Adele and Taylor Swift have remained opposed to streaming although Swift relented somewhat this year and her music is now available via Apple Music.
