To celebrate his recent signing to US label Capitol Records, Gavin James has released a special recording of his hit 'Book of Love' at the top of the famous Capitol Records tower.

The video was filmed around the Grammy Awards at the building which is located just off Hollywood Boulevard.

The Dublin singer just kicked off a tour of America with Irish rockers Kodaline on the back of his debut US TV performance - in front of 20 million people - on Dancing with the Stars.

The star, who has signed to Warner in Ireland and Sony Music in Europe, sold out his tour of Holland and Belgium in June and is poised to headline with Ed Sheeran at Croke Park on July 24.

Ed is Gavin's biggest fan, and he told his 10.3 million social media followers last year to get behind the Irish musician.

"Record labels, if you ignore Gavin James you are losing out," he wrote online.

"I met Ed at the Ruby sessions in Doyles a few months ago and he's just a lovely guy and I went on tour with a friend of his and we just chatted," Gavin recently told The Herald.

Other famous names with Capitol Records include Mary J Blige, The Foo Fighters and previously The Beatles.

Gavin is the first act to ever sell out the Olympia Theatre without releasing a studio album.  His new single releases next month.
