WATCH: Do they have the X Factor? Auditions kick off at Croke Park, Dublin

X Factor UK auditions kicked off in Dublin today ahead of a tour which will take in 50 towns and cities across the UK and Ireland.

Fans of the show queued up this morning to show off their skills at the auditions at Croke Park, with a second round taking place tomorrow, April 9.

First up was Ryan from Newry who was planning to tackle Ed Sheeran's 'The A-Team'

Its my first tiem applying so im a wee bit nervous but I;ll just get the confidence going so i'll just sing my heart out, sing from the heart.

Nicole (16) came from Mallow in Cork to audition in Dublin.

"I love singing.  It's my life.  I actually went for X Factor last year and came in the top 150 so I thought I'd give it another go today."

Anyone interested in auditioning can register online for one of the audition days, just turn up, or send in your own video audition via

Impress the team at that stage and you will be in with a chance of auditioning for the X Factor judges, which last year included Louis Walsh, Simon Cowell, Cheryl and Mel B.
