Adele is full of surprises on her current tour and a Manchester date was no different this week.

Having seen fan Emily Tammam's placard which read, "It's my dream to sing with Adele", the star invited the 12-year-old on stage.

They duetted on Adele's hit Someone Like You which prompted a standing ovation from the audience.

Emily's dad Ray told the Mirror that his daughter, who has autism, ADHD, and Ehlers-Danos syndrome type 3, struggles with social situations although she manages to sing in public.

“Adele was very nice to do that, she clearly didn’t have to... Emily said she wants to show people that have disabilities or mental issues they can still do mainstream things like singing - they should not be stopped from doing them," he said.

Adele plays 105 dates as part of her world tour.  She plays London's O2 Arena from March 15-22.
