Tony-award winning singer songwriter Glen Hansard is set to make his headline debut at New York City's Carnegie Hall next month.

The Dublin singer last night alluded to the fact that the major gig had been on his bucket list.

"Hold tight to a vision, till it's a vision no more," the former Frames singer tweeted.

The show, on September 14, forms part of his autumn North America tour, which comes on the heels of his recently released EP, A Season on the Line, and his Grammy-nominated full length, Didn’t He Ramble.

Carnegie Hall has played host to the likes of Maria Callas, Barbra Streisand, Nina Simone, and in more contemporary times, Jay Z.
