PERHAPS she has friends in high places?

One Irish fan of Garth Brooks is celebrating after her luck changed totally over the weekend

Caroline Leonard from Cliffoney in Co. Sligo travelled to Las Vegas to see the country star, in her third attempt to see him live. This time however, not only did she see him, she saw him from the front row. “We ended up getting front row seats all because they spotted our Irish flag,” she said.

Caroline had attended a gig by the country superstar once before - almost 20 years ago - but getting to see him perform again had become something of a mission.

When tickets went on sale in 2014 for the infamous Croke Park gigs, a little thing like being nine months pregnant did not even deter her. “We all had tickets, she is a massive fan,” said her sister Pamela O’Hara. “She saw him back in 1998 and was always determined to go back and see him again. Even though she was heavily pregnant she was saying ‘ I’m going I’m going’,” said Pamela.

But, of course, those five gigs were cancelled - breaking hearts around the country, including Caroline's.

Garth Brooks.

So she set her sights on Tampa, Florida and catching him there in May of last year.

But once again fate intervened - three gigs cancelled “due to unexpected scheduling by the NHL and NBC on June 6 for the 2015 Stanley Cup Final.”

But they say third time's a charm, and Caroline booked tickets for Garth Brooks in Las Vegas - along with her fiance Jason Taylor and good friends Donna McTeague and her partner Michael.

And not only did the gig get the green light, Caroline won big.

When staff noticed her Irish flag she was upgraded to front row seats at the concert. "They had a flag with 'Dublin Croke Park X, Tampa Bay Florida X, Las Vegas √,  3 Time Lucky'," said Pamela.

And lucky it proved, as all four watched the gig from some of the best seats in the house.

"She will be a very happy woman coming home," said Pamela.
