Great news for fans of The Stone Roses as the band has just announced an outdoor summer concert at Dublin's Marlay Park on July 9, 2016.

The news comes just days after the Manchester band announced string of shows taking place at The Etihad Stadium in Manchester, as well as a headliner slot at T in the Park.

Tickets for the initial two nights at The Etihad Stadium sold out in a matter of minutes, before a third and a final fourth show were added to the run of live dates. Three of the four shows have now completely sold out.

Tickets for Marlay Park are priced €74.50 including booking fee and go on sale on Friday November 20th at 9am. Subject to licence. Gates: 5:30pm.  Tickets from

The band last played in Ireland in 2012 with large open air shows in Dublin in Belfast.

They've been on the go since 1983 and released their self-titled debut album in 1989 followed by Second Coming in 1994 before they split in 1996.  They reformed again in 2012.

Speculation about upcoming concerts reached fever pitch last week as mystery posters showing the band's lemon logo were spotted across Manchester.  The band then took to Twitter to announce the gigs.
