Supergrass frontman Gaz Coombes has just annouced details of his much antipated Irish return with a headline show at Dolan’s Warehouse, Limerick on Friday 8 May 2015.

Coombes most recently surfaced as the man behind the cover of The Kinks' This Time Tomorrow for John Lewis last year but now he's poised to bring new material from his new album Matador to Ireland.

The 37-year-old has battled self-doubt, personal loss, and drug-induced tour psychosis, all of which he explores on Matador.

“There’s this disposable vibe around music at the moment which is odd, because it’s so obviously central to most people’s lives,” he says.

“Life is full of moments of fear, loss and longing, but it’s how you get through those things and triumph over them which define you.

"But there’s as much light as there is dark on this record; there’s beauty in both of those states and that has always intrigued me."

Tickets €22 incl. booking fee  go on sale today, Friday 27 February at 1pm from Ticketmaster outlets, www.ticketmaster.ie  and www.dolans.ie
