Opening acts for Garth Brooks Comeback gigs announced

The artists who will play support for Garth Brooks on four of his five Irish dates have been announced.

Former Westlife singer Shane Filan will open for the country star on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th July whilst Nathan Carter will warm up the crowd on Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th.

There will be no opening act on Friday July 25th.

Shane Filan is currently touring the UK on the back of his debut solo album 'you and Me.'

On his website, Shane said, “I am delighted to be asked to support Garth Brooks in Ireland. I have been a life long fan and to perform on the same stage as him is a dream come true”.

Meanwhile, Irish country singer Nathan Carter addressed his fans by saying, "'I am delighted to announce that myself and the band have been officially confirmed as the support act for Garth Brooks on Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th July in Croke Park for his final two shows.

"Looking forward to it!! Thanks everyone for your continued support!!''

Carter released his 5th studio album 'Where I Wanna Be' in August 2013.
