Westlife fans have had their hopes of a band reunion dashed today as Kian Egan announced there's "not a chicken's chance in Thailand" of the quartet getting back together.
Speaking on Today FM, The Voice of Ireland presenter said, “Right now, it’s all about living without Westlife”.
According to Kian (35), he doesn't see much of Mark Feehily, Nicky Byrne, or Shane Filan these days.
“We haven’t seen an awful lot of each other since the end of the band, but we’re all still kind of friendly, and in contact with each other. Everybody is just doing their own thing”.
Kian, who was crowned King of the Jungle on I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here in 2013, is keen to get on with life away from the band.
“We’ve got to move on and do other things with our lives...right now, it’s all about living without Westlife, and learning to live without Westlife”.
However, Kian didn’t totally disregard the notion of a reunion in the future, adding “whether we’ll visit it at another time in life, further down the road, I don’t know”.
Westlife split up in June 2012 and all four members have pursued other avenues. Nicky Byrne presents a radio show with Jenny Greene on 2FM while Mark and Shane have pursued solo careers.
As well as winning I'm a Celeb, Kian is a judge on The Voice of Ireland and recently landed a radio presenting gig in the UK.
Kian was speaking to Neil Delamere (who filled in for Anton Savage today) on the phone from his home in the UK where he and wife Jodi are awaiting the birth of their second child in a few weeks time.
They already have a son Koa (3).
