Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, The 1975, Bat for Lashes among new additions to Electric Picnic 2016 line-up
It may be sold out, but that doesn't mean the organisers have given up on providing lucky ticket holders with new additions to the Electric Picnic 2016 line-up.
There are just 65 days to go until the three-day festival kicks off in Stradbally on September 2 and the following acts have been added to the bill:
NOEL GALLAGHER’S HIGH FLYING BIRDS
THE 1975 – NAS - THE SHINS – BAT FOR LASHES – CATFISH AND THE BOTTLEMEN
LOCAL NATIVES – JOEY BADASS – EDITORS – JOHN TALABOT
DJ EZ – TOOTS & THE MAYTALS – MURA MASA – KANO – KEVIN MORBY
SHIT ROBOT – JESSY LANZA – LITTLE SIMZ – WHITNEY – FRANKIE COSMOS
LEMAITRE – PUMAROSA
The festival also boasts previously announced headliners LCD Soundsystem, New Order, Super Furry Animals, Chemical Brothers, and Lana Del Ray.
Bagging NYC electro gods LCD Soundsystem is quite a coup for the festival as James Murphy only announced that the band were reforming in January.
The line-up also features HAIM, Todd Terje, Years & Years, Glass Animals, Wild Beasts, Animal Collective, Gavin James, Wolf alice, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats among others.
Day tickets for Sunday had already sold out before the line-up was even announced and all tickets were gone by March.
Also returning to the festival this year are Salty Dog and Trailer Park and there will be a Silent Disco in the 'My Lovely Horse Paddock' as well as the final of Neil Hannon and Cathy Davey's search for a Father Ted 20th anniversary 'Song for Europe'.
Dress Well or Die Trying is a new area to pimp yourself out and if you dress up you get access to private parties and backstage on Trailer Park and Salty Dog.
