Little Mix cancel Belfast shows at last minute
Little Mix have pulled out of their two Belfast shows.
The foursome were expected to perform two shows in Belfast's SSE Arena today after performing in Dublin's 3Arena on Wednesday night.
They announced that the shows were cancelled at 1.30 on Thursday, just a half hour before their first show was schedulued to begin at 2pm. The second show was due to begin at 8pm.
The band was forced to cancel after singer Jesy Nelson became ill.
A statement from Aiken Promotion said: "We regret to announce that both LITTLE MIX shows at The SSE Arena, Belfast will not take place today due to Jesy being unwell and not able to perform.
"Please hold on to your tickets - we hope to be able to make a further announcement on possible rescheduling later today."
Aiken said they will issue a statement regarding rescheduling dates later today.
It is the second major cancellation to disappoint young music fans in the city in recent times.
@LittleMix can't believe shows cancelled in Belfast with such short notice not acceptable you've let your fans down— Mark Ashman (@AshmanMark) March 31, 2016
Last October, One Direction called off a gig at the SSE at late notice after singer Liam Payne fell sick.
Fans have taken to Twitter to express their disappointment.
