Katherine Jenkins has invited Britain's Got Talent hopeful Kathleen Jenkins to perform with her.

Kathleen, 25, wowed the judges on Saturday night's episode of the ITV talent show with her incredible performance of the Rolling Stones' track Wild Horses.

The similarities between Kathleen and Katherine Jenkins are plentiful - their names, their initials KMJ, their voices and the fact they are both from Wales. And soprano singer Katherine was one of millions of viewers blown away by Kathleen's audition.

"Like most of Wales and it seems the whole of the UK, I loved Kathleen’s performance of Wild Horses on Saturday night’s BGT," Katherine told The Sun newspaper.

“I love her dad, too. Such a proud father. Wonderful to see him so emotional when speaking of his daughter’s awesome voice."

Now Katherine has offered Kathleen a once in a lifetime opportunity - performing with her.

"I’m doing a Christmas tour and as Kathleen is a rising star, it’ll be great for her to come and sing one of her songs," she added.

Meanwhile, former Pontins Bluecoat Kathleen revealed her similar moniker often leads to her being mistaken for the singer during her performances at holiday camps.

"We’re both from Wales and have similar names," Kathleen said. "Sometimes at Pontins where I’d occasionally sing, they’d say my name and someone would think it was going to be her.”

And Kathleen would love to take Katherine up on the offer of performing with her, adding: "I’d love to meet Katherine Jenkins - it would be amazing."

Simon Cowell led the standing ovation after Kathleen's performance on Saturday night, admitting he had been "waiting all day" for an act like her.

"I love everything about you. I love the tone of your voice, I love the way you controlled the song," he said. "I think you’re really special."
