Having announced to the world, via Twitter, that he's in $53m of 'personal debt' Kanye West has now asked Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg for cash.

West proffered his virtual begging bowl, again on Twitter, on Valentine's Day, asking for $1bn and adding, "Mark Zuckerberg I know it's your bday but can you please call me by 2mrw..."

West continued to pitch the Facebook founder, "You love hip hop, you love my art... I am your favourite artist but you watch me barely breathe and still play my album in your house..."

He asked fans to pester Zuckerberg to invest too, "World, please tweet, FaceTime, Facebook, instagram, whatever you gotta do to get Mark to support me..."

Kanye, who has just released his new album, The Life of Pablo, and Yeezy season 3 collection, went on to describe himself as "this generation's Disney".

Addressing Mark again he said he does not have "enough resources to create what I really can" and added, "Mark, I am publicly asking you for help... and I will always respect you for that and the world will love you..."

West said he'd be open to Larry Page helping him out too before slamming people for opening schools in Africa rather than helping artists like himself.

"All you dudes in San Fran play rap music in your homes but never help the real artists...

"you'd rather open up one school in Africa like you really helped the country...

"if you want to help... help me..."

The artist also said he would only attend the Grammys if he gets album of the year.

"I am the Jordan and Steph Currey of music, meaning I'm the best of two generations," he said.
