Joy for fans as final round of Ed Sheeran tickets go on sale - but some weren't so lucky
Ed Sheeran fans were overjoyed this morning when the final round of tickets for his Irish dates went on sale, although some weren't as successful in their quest.
After over 300,000 tickets for Sheeran's original seven Irish dates sold out last weekend, the singer announced a further concert in Cork's Pairc Ui Chaoimh on Sunday May 6, 2018 and Dublin's Phoenix Park on Saturday May 19, 2018.
The Ticketmaster website experienced high capacity when tickets went on sale this morning, but it was worth the wait for some fans who managed to bag tickets after being unsuccessful for his first seven dates.

Got my @edsheeran tickets at 9.05 this morning. Super happy but a bit anticlimactic having to wait a year after all the excitement.— Mary Ellen O'Keeffe (@MaryEllenOK) July 15, 2017
Others, however, were left waiting in the virtual queue in the hope that tickets would become available.
To everyone waiting, have faith. I'm only after getting my Ed Sheeran tickets and I was waiting 27 minutes from 9am— Ailish McKiernan (@Aili89_) July 15, 2017
Along with the two extra dates, the Shape of You singer is set kick off his Irish tour at Pairc Ui Caoimh in Cork on May 4 2018, with a second date at the venue on May 5. He will then play Boucher Road Playing Fields, in Belfast on May 9 before Galway's Pearse Stadium on Saturday May 12 and Sunday May 13. His Dublin dates will see him play the Phoenix Park on Wednesday May 16 and Friday May 18.
