The Killers upcoming date at the 3Arena, Dublin sold out in minutes on Friday morning.

While many fans secured tickets, others were disappointed, with some claiming there were no tickets available by 9.01am after going on sale at 9am.

According to Ticketmaster there was 'huge demand' for the gig, which is set to take place on November 16th, after rave 5 star reviews for their recent Hyde Park show in London.

Tickets for the Irish show cost €65 including booking fee on Ticketmaster, but once the show sold out disappointed fans had the option of heading to Seatwave where tickets were on sale at an inflated price.

Seatwave is a Ticketmaster company and prices are set by third parties selling tickets on the site.

By 9.25am some were going for €145 for tiered seating while standing were listed at €168 on Seatwave.

Pre-sale tickets for the show were available to members of the band's fan club, The Victims.

Fans took to Twitter to express their disappointment:

Comment: Ed Sheeran ticket touts are making a killing - and we only have ourselves to blame

Even Ed Sheeran can't stop the touts - tickets for singer's 2018 Irish dates already on re-selling sites for €1,200
