Hozier's manager stunned by rate of artist's success as he kicks off Guinness Amplify

He has taken the world by storm and singer Hozier's manager Caroline Downey admtis to being bowled over by the rate of his success.

The MCD promoter and businesswoman told the Diary that after travelling internationally with the Bray native, she's been thrilled with the overwhelming response to his music.

"I knew he would be a success, I just didn't that at the rate that it has all happened - that was a surprise," she said.

"He's taken off at such a speed within a year, he's everywhere and it's amazing."

"I have a permanent suitcase at the end of the bed - and my make up is all in a plastic bag lately, so that sums it up really."

Hozier performed a cracking set to thousands at Electric Picnic but his latest gig was in a small pub in Dundalk over the wekeend.

He took part in the first Guinness Amplify event, joining a number of artists who took to the stage in pubs all over Leinster.

Fans in Spirit Store in Dundalk were treated to a special experience as Hozier supported award-winning British singing sensation Ellie Goudling.  They played to 200 people.
