Home-grown hero Hozier and Indie-Rock band Kaiser Chiefs will join Dave Grohl and Foo Fighters at their Irish concert next year.
MCD have confirmed the Foo Fighters concert on Saturday 30th May 2015, with special guests including Kaiser Chiefs and Hozier.
Dave Grohl made the surprise announcement earlier this month on RTE 2FM.
The announcement of their headline concert at Slane comes just after they sold 300,000 tickets in the UK.
Grohl, former drummer for Nirvana, has been making music with the Foo Fighters for over two decades, and the band have just released their eighth album ‘Sonic Highways’.
Sonic Highways turned into a collaborative music documentary series, which saw the band recording a new track in eight different cities across America while documenting the musical history of that location.
The announcement that Hozier will join them on the bill rounds off a stellar year for the Bray born musician. So far he has played stand out gigs on the festival circuit at home and abroad as well as playing on major US talk shows like The Ellen Show and Saturday Night Live.
British five piece band Kaiser Chiefs, known for singles including ‘I Predict A Riot’ and ‘Ruby’, have just released their fifth studio album which has blazed straight to the top of the charts.
Tickets for Slane 2015 go on sale at 9am Monday 1st December from Ticketmaster; tickets are limited to eight per person.
