Speculation is mounting that Guns N' Roses founding members will finally reunite after 22 years to headline Coachella 2016.

Consequence of Sound reports that Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan are on board with Matt Sorum will replace drummer Steven Adler.

Billboard also reports that the band will also embark on a 25 date stadium tour.

The band formed in 1985 with Axl, Slash, Izzy Stradlin, Duf McKagan and Steven Adler and released six studio albums with sales of more than 100 million worldwide.

The original line-up last played together in 1993 and three years ago Axl refused to join the band for their induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The band has yet to confirm the reunion but an official announcement is expected shortly.
