Electronic-pop band Kraftwerk has announced two Irish tour dates for 2017.

The German band, founded in 1970, will take to the Bord Gais Energy Theatre, Dublin on 2 June and the Waterfront Hall, Belfast on 4 June.

Kraftwerk have popularized electronic pop music, using synthetic voices, computerized rhythms and self-made instruments to form 3D concerts.

Kraftwerk was awarded the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014.

The four-man band, which consists of founding member Ralf Hütter, Henning Schmitz, Fritz Hilpert and Falk Grieffenhagen, will also play 11 dates in the UK.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, 30th September, at 9am.

Dublin tickets begin at €62.50, and Belfast tickets begin at £49 (€56.)

All ticket prices are inclusive of booking fee and available from www.ticketmaster.ie.
