Ed Sheeran confirms he'll join James Corden for Carpool Karaoke this year
Ed Sheeran has finally confirmed that he will join James Corden for Carpool Karaoke.
The Photograph singer revealed that he will take part in the popular The Late Late Show segment, which has seen Adele, Mariah Carey and Elton John star, this year after years of planning.
"I've been in touch with James Corden about this for three years, because he wanted me to do the first one and I just wasn't around," he said during an interview on Capital FM.
"I can confirm that at some point this year, I will be doing a Carpool Karaoke."
Sheeran (25) returned less than a week ago from a year-long break from music, during which he stayed away from social media and travelled the world.
"I specifically picked places where I wasn't really liked...No-one really cares about me in Japan. There are like two people that like me in Japan," he said during his first interview since his return on BBC Radio One.
The star also admitted that he has struggled to remember the lyrics to his own songs following his break.
"I've relearnt everything. I spent a day relearning the words. Next time I take a break it will be two weeks not a year."
The singer released two songs last Friday, Castle on the Hill and Shape of You as part of his new album, Divide.
