Damien Rice is set to stage his comeback with a new album releasing on October 31 and a Dublin concert just days later on November 3.

It has been eight years since he released his second album, 9 , and anticipation is high for his third, My Favourite Faded Fantasy.

Whilst he did appear at Whelan’s to celebrate the venue’s 25th anniversary, his concert at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre is his first high profile solo gig in Ireland in years.

Rice, who was a member of 90s rock group Juniper, hit the big time with his critically acclaimed solo debut, O.

The title track of My Fvourite Faded Fantasy premiered on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show and he teased the intro with this brief video clip just days ago.

Advance tickets to the concert will be available to mailing list subscribers at www.damienrice.com and a pre-sale window begins tomorrow Wednesday September 17 at 9am with general sale Friday September 19 at 9am.
