Bon Jovi had crowds rocking at the RDS as the band played their second gig in the capital.

Fans gathered in Dublin 4 from early yesterday afternoon ahead of the highly anticipated concert as the US rockers finished the weekend off in a flourish with their second gig in two days.

People came prepared for the weather and, unfortunately for the concert-goers, the damp Irish summer continued to disappoint, drenching music fans.

However, the wet conditions did not stop fans dancing along to classics such as 'Livin' on a Prayer' and 'It's My Life'.

Bon Jovi were supported by Welsh band Manic Street Preachers and they kicked off proceedings at 6.15pm.

The main attraction took to the stage to a rapturous welcome just after 8pm.

Bon Jovi belted out crowd favourites such as 'Blaze of Glory' and 'You Give Love a Bad Name' to keep the crowd bopping away. It was the first time the New Jersey rockers had played Ireland since they headlined Slane Castle in 2013, and they did not disappoint their fans as the fun went on long into the night in Dublin.
