Brian McFadden and Keith Duffy are teaming up as a boyband duo, Boyzlife.

The former Westlife and Boyzone stars are planning to go on tour together later this year, kicking off with a gig in London on October 16.

Brian left Westlife in 2004 before the band went stellar and has forged a solo career in music and on TV, most recently on Channel 4 series The Jump.

Meanwhile Keith has pursued an acting career, bagging a plum role on Coronation Street.

However, it seems they're hoping to cash in on their respective former boybands' success - and hope to get other band members on board.

The Sun reports that the plans were discussed at Ronan Keating's wedding.

Speaking to The Sun, Brian said, "We all had a chat, the lads. We said it would be amazing.

"Not even just performing together, but can you imagine the craic? Nine of us Irish lads on a tour bus together, going round the world together.

"It would be absolute carnage.  We all get on so well so you never know. We would have so much fun on tour."

While the plans are currently just for Keith and Brian, he said "the door is always open" for the other boyband members to join.

However, this seems unlikely, at least in the short term.  Kian Egan is busy on The Voice of Ireland while Nicky Byrne is presenting a hugely successful show on 2fm and gearing up for Eurovision.

Westlifer Shane Filan has just released his second solo single, which hit number one in the Irish charts when it released in October and he's gearing up for his UK and Ireland tour, which kicks off tomorrow.  Markus Feehily is also pursuing solo projects.

All three have repeatedly stated that they're not ready for a Westlife reunion.

Former Boyzone star Ronan Keating also has has a hugely successful solo career with his latest album hitting number 3 in the UK chart.

Both Keith and Brian revealed that they would like to perform Westlife and Boyzone hits but also write new music together.
