Living every man's fantasy! Irishman records duet with Miranda Kerr

Irish Broadway star Bobby Fox is one lucky man.

The Longford native fulfilled every red blooded male’s fantasy having spent several hours cooped up with sensational Victoria Secret’s model Miranda Kerr.

Fox, who starred as Frankie Valli in the Broadway production of ‘Jersey Boys’, is in the middle of recording his debut album and convinced the long limbed model to record a duet with him.

The pair opted for Elvis and Ann Margret’s song ‘You’re The Boss’ from 1964 film ‘Viva Las Vegas’ and had a blast performing it.

Kerr, who split from her husband Orlando Bloom last year, said she was unable to resist Fox’s Irish charm.

“I usually just sing in the shower but Bobby Fox convinced me to record a duet with him," she said.

The Australian model first gave fans a glimpse of her vocal range in 2012, when she featured in a Japanese advert for Lipton Ice Tea, pretending to be a waitress singing to customers.

But the model was adamant her latest foray into the music industry was “not a career change, just a bit of fun.”

Fox’s upcoming album will hit shelves in March this year and will feature cover versions of classic hits.

Fox (31) began his career as an Irish dancing champ; winning the World Irish Dancing Championships four times. He then toured the world with ‘Riverdance’, ‘Dancing on Dangerous Ground’ and ‘To Dance to the Moon’ before settling down in Australia in 2002.

It was there he began his musical theatre career in earnest and he has starred in numerous well know shows including ‘Mamma Mia’, ‘We Will Rock You’ and ‘Spamalot’.

Fox’s sister Lisa, who plays the part of Gerty Gúna on RTE’s children’s TV show ‘The Beo Show’, said Bobby was ‘thrilled’ Kerr decided to get on board.

“He’s over the moon,” she told the Irish Independent. “His first album is getting a great reaction and it’s not even out yet. He’s a gem and we are delighted for him.”

“His first album is a cover of classic tracks but he’s interested in writing his own music too.”

Lisa Fox is due to get married later this year and says brother Bobby will be flying in for the occasion. “He will of course be there,” she said. But Lisa was pretty sure Miranda wouldn’t be accompanying him to the ceremony.
