Liam Gallagher has dashed any hopes of an Oasis reunion

Liam Gallagher has said his new band Beady Eye will "drown out" anyone shouting for Oasis songs at their first gig.

The band, which is formed of all of Oasis apart from Noel Gallagher - who left the band after a bust-up with Liam - is playing their first gig on March 3 in Glasgow.

But Liam told the Guardian that they'd ignore anyone asking them to sing Oasis tunes.

"I've got a microphone, we've got guitars, we'll drown them out," he said.

Liam also declared that there would never be an Oasis reunion.

"This is not a stopgap until me and Noel come to our senses and start Oasis again. That is well and truly done," he said.
