One Direction's Liam Payne has slammed rumours the boyband are on the rocks.

The boyband - Liam, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson - have found global stardom since they were formed on The X Factor in 2010, but there have recently been reports of a rift within the band and that some members have ambitions to go solo.

Liam took to Twitter to reassure fans: "Lots of articles saying we are clashing ... no ones clashing we are just having a bit of Family time after hitting the road for 3 years."

One Direction's latest album Midnight Memories became the biggest-selling album of 2013 in the UK, despite only being released five weeks before the end of the year.

And the boyband's worldwide stadium tour later this year is expected to rake in one billion dollars (£609 million).

But bookmaker William Hill are offering even odds that 2014 will be the year that One Direction split up.
