Lady Gaga has revealed she is collaborating with producer RedOne.
The Born This Way singer has been working on her fifth album, and shared an image of her with the music-maker in the recording studio on Instagram.
The news has been well-received by her fans. One follower wrote: "I love your work!", while another added: "Write new hit songs for Gaga!!!"
RedOne, whose real name is Nadir Khayat, produced the biggest tracks from Lady Gaga's 2008 debut, The Fame, including the songs Just Dance, Poker Face and Love Game.
The 42-year-old hitmaker also worked with her on her 2011 follow-up, Born This Way, on Judas and Hair, but his work was noticeably absent from her third record, Artpop, which was a critical and commercial disappointment.
Lady Gaga also revealed how working on her new music is "torture".
Alongside a photo of her bare-faced and in bed, she wrote: "Basically I can't sleep without every single song I'm writing repeating endlessly, but I'm loving it again. Embracing the torture, as I'm assaulted by my own thoughts. Like a locust giving birth to earworms. Eeeeew!"
