Katy Perry has added 12 extra dates for her 2011 UK tour, after her performances sold out.

The I Kissed A Girl star has scheduled a second leg of her California Dreams tour in October and November, which kicks off at Sheffield's Motorpoint arena on October 12.

She will also play London's O2, followed by shows in Liverpool, Cardiff, Belfast, Birmingham, Newcastle, Aberdeen, Manchester, Glasgow, Nottingham and Dublin.

Katy - who is married to funnyman Russell Brand - has been nominated for four Grammy awards, with her latest album Teenage Dream up for album of the year and best pop vocal album.

Her duet with Snoop Dogg, California Gurls, also received a nod for best pop collaboration with vocals, while her single, Teenage Dream, is battling Beyonce and Lady Gaga for best female pop vocal performance.

Tickets for the new dates will be available for pre-sales at 9am on December 8, and on sale from 9am on December 10.
