Singer Katherine Jenkins will release a special version of the national anthem in honour of the Queen's 90th birthday.

The track from her new album Celebration is a full rendition of the national anthem in its rarely-heard, three verse form and it will be available to download from her website for 24 hours on April 21 2016.

Katherine will also be performing, by request, at the Queen's birthday celebrations at Windsor Castle in May.

A month later, she will give her own celebratory concert at the Royal Albert Hall.

The singer has also recorded an emotional cover of David Bowie's Heroes - which is also a nod to her work with the armed forces.

She is a trustee of the Invictus Foundation, Care after Combat and British Forces Foundation, travelling to Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, Cyprus and Northern Ireland to entertain the troops.
