Kanye West has reportedly insisted he doesn't want to be seen as a "celebrity", because he makes "real music".
In a rant during a gig at the Adult Swim Upfront party at New York's Roseland Ballroom, the Mercy rapper - who is expecting his first child with reality TV star Kim Kardashian - apparently blasted the term 'celebrity', paparazzi and being tabloid fodder.
"One thing about me. I'm the worst kinda celebrity... because all I do is make real music. All I do is sit in the studio and make real, real s**t and that's it. That's m***********g it," he said during his song Runaway, according to Complex.
"So I don't want nobody trying to run up on me with no cameras, trying to sell pictures and s**t to magazines, asking me no dumb**s questions, throwing me off of my focus and s**t. Harassing you all m***********g day. I ain't no m***********g celebrity..."
Kanye, who has made headlines with his high-profile relationship with Kim, became the subject of a few jokes after he walked into a street pole while out house-hunting in Bel-Air, California with his girlfriend.
His streak of bad luck continued when his expensive Lamborghini got caught in Kim's electric front gate.
The 35-year-old added: "I ain't running for office. I ain't kissing nobody's m***********g babies. I drop your baby and you sue me and s**t. I'm trying to make some music that inspires people to be the best they can be. I don't want nobody to ask nothing else of me."
