In today’s Day & Night – free with each copy of the Irish Independent – I attempt to answer those questions by naming the 30 best Irish albums ever made.
There is a mix of obvious choices – albums so good their absence would make such a list laughably redundant – and left-field entries that many might have forgotten about but should, I feel, be in the collections of any music lover.
