Jessie J thanks fans for support
Jessie J has thanked her fans for their support during tough times.
The Voice judge and singer played an intimate gig at HMV on Oxford Street for the launch of the Music Is GREAT campaign, and used the opportunity to hit back at her recent critics.
Jessie opened up to the crowd, saying: "For the first time in the last few weeks, I've definitely heard the most negative stuff in the last few years and through my career, and it's hard and it's weird when you open a newspaper or a magazine and you read something that is just so untrue and people believe it."
She went on: "People forget, people think that because you're in the public eye that you're different from everyone else but you're not - I still have grumpy days, I still have days when I'm sad, I'm still human."
She added that she was trying to ignore the attention, and to concentrate on writing music instead.
"I am so honoured that you guys have supported me and kept me here because right now I'm making my second album and it is the scariest place to be," she said.
Jessie's set, staged as part of the campaign to debate what is great about British music, included a performance of her new single LaserLight.
