Imelda to get party started
Singers James Morrisson and Imelda May will kickstart a run of concerts in and around the capital today by headlining the inaugural Groove festival on the grounds of Kilruddery, in Bray, Co Wicklow, this weekend.
Revellers will be spoilt for choice and if the two-dozen acts over two stages is not enough, families can also potter through the on-site flea market, check out the diversity tent – complete with kite-making and face painting – or sample the edible goods thanks to master chef John Coughlan catering.
Support acts in the line-up programme include Ali Campbell's UB40, Gavin James, Damien Dempsey and Jerry Fish.
In the dedicated Whelan's Live retro tent, Hermitage Green and Ham Sandwich will entertain the festival-goers.
