'I'm John and I'm Edward, together we're Jedward'
IT looked like an exhibition in the nearby National Wax Museum.
Gathered in one room were the most recognisable faces in the country -- Saoirse Ronan, Daniel Day Lewis, Gabriel Byrne, Brendan Gleeson, as well as sporting stars including Brian O'Driscoll, Padraig Harrington, Henry Sheflin and Katie Taylor.
But these weren't wax works, these were the real people.
The setting was a reception following the concert staged for President Barack Obama in Dublin when about 50 people, including all the artists who had performed, gathered in private to meet Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama in a reception room inside the Bank Of Ireland.
Even for these VIPs, it's not every day you meet the president of the United States.
Said Westlife's Nicky Byrne: "It was one of those once-in-a-lifetime moments. What the hell do you say when he comes over?"
However, it was Jedward who broke the ice for everyone with their trademark introduction.
"The first thing everyone heard was, 'I'm John', 'I'm Edward and together we're Jedward' and the room just collapsed," recounted Nicky Byrne.
The president turned around and said: "Okay, let's get this right. You're John and you're Edward ? So together you're Jedward?"
Sawdoctors guitarist Leo Moran said: "Barack met and shook hands with everyone. Our saxophone player Anto Thistlewaite had a great conversation with First Lady Michelle about gardening."
